Who am I?

This is me on a family visit to the top of Grouse Mountain.

My name is Ashley!

I’m an incurably cheerful person who loves to enjoy my life with my friends and family.

I’m a recent Bachelors of Journalism with a minor in Indigenous Community Justice graduate. During my studies I discovered a fervent love for audio and video storytelling, and I treasure the trust and care that goes into journalistic writing.

The climate is something I am incredibly passionate about, and much of my past work has revolved around environmentalism (see my portfolio page for my work with KPU’s Climate+ Challenge). I have also written on the toxic drug crisis in British Columbia for the Overdose Memorial project (see this page for more on that), and I have a strong interest in matters that bridge social and political landscapes.

In my free time I love to flex my creative muscles through fiber arts like knitting and crocheting, following patterns or making my own up as I go! My friends and I also enjoy breaking out some board games now and then.

Please enjoy exploring my work and feel free to reach out if you want to know more. I look forward to knowing you!
